More of My Favorite Scholarship and College Planning Websites

www.Pinterest.com

My wife loves Pinterest.  I mean what can you NOT find on Pinterest? Well, one thing I have found on Pinterest is plenty of scholarships for college.  It seems like there is page after page of websites offering scholarships!  In fact, I get emails in my inbox almost every day with a new Pinterest page about scholarships.

https://www.annuity.org/financial-literacy/students/

This website was pointed out to me through an email conversation I had with Annuity.org’s Financial Outreach Specialist.  Those of you who have accessed The Scholarship File at www.CollegeDebtFree.org know that my passion is to help students graduate from college with as little student loan debt as possible, hopefully, debt free.  Graduating debt free starts with financial literacy.  There is an article on this page entitled “Why Is Financial Literacy Important?” and it is a great article…a must read.  Here is a short paragraph from the article.  “Attending college or trade school is a wise choice because an investment in your professional know-how gives you the opportunity to make more money and accomplish your dreams. But for many Americans, college is our first lesson in financial literacy, and it isn’t always a pleasant one.”  In addition, there are links to need-based scholarships, merit-based scholarships, how student loans work, choosing colleges wisely, sticking to a budget, getting the most out of your college meal plan, credit cards for students, planning for the future, and starting your career.  This is a great resource!

www.FinAid.org

This website has been around for a long time.  But it is still relevant to those who are researching colleges and scholarships.  On this website you will find scholarships, information on student loans (PLUS, Perkins, Stafford, etc.), how to save for college, military aid (ROTC scholarships, etc.), other types of aid (grants to graduate school fellowships), financial aid applications, tools for calculating college costs, and information about testing, careers, and jobs.

www.christianconnector.com

If your desire is to attend a Christian college, this is a good website to browse.  There is information on Christian colleges and the scholarships they offer, major selection that will connect you with Christian colleges that have your particular major, and other free resources such as college tips, career planning, and missions opportunities.

www.tun.com

This website (“tun” is short for The University Network) is one of my all-time favorites (if not my favorite).  It is so comprehensive in it’s scope.  Not only does it offer hundreds of scholarships on the site, but it also has other resources such as information about online education, college prep, college life, and careers.  One cool thing that I really like about this website is the articles that are pertinent to college students or prospective college students.  Articles on the current page are “The Most Bike-Friendly Colleges In 2019,” “Are the ACT Test Changes for the Best?,” “Community Work Helps Students Find Meaning in Their Major,” and “These Sleep Habits Will Lead to Better Grades, MIT Study Finds.”  In addition to all of those things, there is a textbook save engine, a university comparison tool, and an internship search tool.   You can see why this is one of my all-time favorites.
